Nice clip from the film "Get on up" about the life of James Brown. In this scene, James explains to his band that rhythm, or the groove, is the most important thing in his music. Every band member plays drums(!) first... even if you play guitar, saxophone or trumpet.
Think about the situation in your company. It is important that everyone knows and understands what the common ground is in your organisation: what do we do, how do we do it, why do we do it, when do we do it. Then it becomes so much easier for individuals or teams to contribute well to the bigger picture and the goals set.
